A/Professor Max Guazzato

Specialist Prosthodontist, A/Professor of Dentistry at University of Sydney

A/Prof. Max Guazzato grew up in Milan, Italy where he completed a Dental Technician diploma and graduated from the University of Milan with a Bachelor Degree in Dentistry with Honours. To further his knowledge, A/Prof. Guazzato completed a PhD at Sydney University in the field of Zirconia and dental ceramics. He then went on to complete a three-year clinical doctorate in Prosthodontics and is registered as a specialist Prosthodontist. A/Prof. Guazzato also has a dental fellowship by examination and is a prosthodontics special field member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. and a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

A/Prof. Guazzato has been lecturing and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects at the University of Sydney since 2001 and is a well sought after lecturer internationally in the topics of dental ceramic, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants. His current fields of research are: surface treatment of dental ceramics; tissue-implant interface clinical outcomes of all-ceramic materials. A/Prof Guazzato has published two books and 32 peer-reviewed articles in dental and medical scientific journals. In addition to his commitment with the University of Sydney, A/Prof Guazzato's clinical expertise covers all facets of oral rehabilitation from bone grafting and implant placement, to fixed/removable Prosthodontics and laboratory procedures.

Professor Max also sees patients in the Southern Highlands from a practice called Specialised Dental on the corner of Bong Bong and Victoria St in Bowral.

He also shares his skills with our dental professional community through The University of Sydney, Australian Dental Association and Highlands Professional Development.

Dr. Linda Quach

General dentist 

BDS (Hons), Post Grad Diploma in Dental Implantology

Dr. Linda Quach has worked in private dental practice for over 18 years.  She graduated from the Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours at the University of Sydney. Dr. Quach hosted a number of academic scholarships, medals and prizes whilst at University and was awarded the University of Sydney Prize in Operative Dentistry, Clinical Periodontics, Clinical Oral Surgery, Orthodontics and the Prosthodontic society scholarship for research in the field of Zirconia and ceramics.  She furthered formal dental education with the completion of a Post Graduate Diploma of Dental Implantology at Charles Sturt University.  Dr. Linda Quach has interest in dental research and has co-authored four articles published in internationally highly acclaimed peer reviewed scientific journals.  She also enjoys teaching at professional continuing education courses for fellow dentists.  You can also find Dr. Quach in the Southern Highlands at Specialised Dental in Bowral NSW.

Linda’s philosophy is to treat patients as she would her own family. She enjoys conveying information that makes sense with respect, care and dignity. Linda likes to explain dental conditions to her patients to create a partnership where she can guide you in making informed decisions and make self-care efficient and meaningful to ultimately achieve better dental heath for life.

Linda was born, bred and educated in Sydney and decided that her children will enjoy the same beautiful city she grew up in. She attended school at Sydney Girls High School which is where she found her love for art and science. 


Dr Andres Felipe Aguirre

General dentist 

DDS, Msc, GDiPClindent (adv restorative)

Dr Andres Aguirre completed his dentistry degree at the Universidad del Valle in Colombia in 2002. Early in his career he dedicated most of his time to teaching and researching disease prevention and worked in community dental services. He published several articles and a book in the field of Oral Health Education in children and gained is Masters in Epidemiology.

Since 2009 he has been practising full-time clinical dentistry and possesses current dental registrations in Colombia, Chile and Australia. He lived in Melbourne for a decade where he worked in the field of full mouth rehabilitation on dental implants.

In 2022 he decided to pursue his interest in cosmetic dentistry and oral rehabilitation and finished a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Advanced Restorative) at the University of Sydney. 

Andres is passionate about his work and enjoys sharing a laugh with patients as well as co-workers.


Dr. Jenny Chang

General Dentist

BDent(Hons), MSA, BAppSc(Physio)

Dr. Jenny Chang started her education primary school in Washington DC (USA) and then attended high school at Pymble Ladies College in Sydney. Upon completion of high school she studied a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and then gained her Masters Degree in Studio Art. Blending a thirst for scientific knowledge with her artistic side led her to study Bachelor of Dentistry. She graduated with Honours, with her final research paper investigating the long term effects of water fluoridation.

Dr. Jenny Chang has interests in Comprehensive Restorative Dentistry, Aesthetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine. She has completed a two year mini residency in General Orthodontics accredited by International Association of Orthodontics, and a one year residency in Temporomandibular Joint Disease and Sleep Medicine. She has also attained Level I, II & III accreditation in Implant Dentistry from the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry, and has attended many short courses on Orthodontics, Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics. Dr. Chang is a member of the Australian Dental Association, Northshore Dental Study Group, Australian Society of Endodontics and American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.

Dr Chang is kind, friendly and gentle. She especially enjoys treating children and families. Outside of work, Dr Chang likes bushwalking with her husband and child, painting acrylic on canvas, and has a recent newfound interest in skiing.


Dr Susie Kim

General Dentist

BDS (University of sydney)

Dr Susie Kim grew up in Sydney attending Darlinghurst Public School then Sydney Girls’ High School before finding her love of science, helping people and making things made Dentistry a good fit. Susie started her career over 27 years ago working in the Public Sector as a Dental Officer at Westmead Dental Clinical School working in Primary Oral Care, Paediatrics, Oral Surgery and Medicine and caring for the medically compromised, special needs and after hours emergency and trauma cases and those requiring complex multidisciplinary treatment. She was also appointed as a Clinical Associate in 1997 and was a part time Clinical Tutor to final year students. Susie spent 18 months working overseas in Korea then returned to work at Sydney Dental Hospital as a senior Dental Officer before moving into Private Practice.

Dr Kim has lived in Pyrmont for 22 years and is thrilled to join her dear friends and colleagues in treating patients in her beloved suburb. She loves all disciplines of Dentistry but her interests and skills lie in treating the Elderly, Children, Phobic patients, Medically compromised, Immunocompromised ,Special needs and those with Sleep Disorders and Sleep apnoea and now Cancer patients as she is one herself. Her focus is on Preventative Dentistry and in treating the patient as a whole as she believes the mouth is just a small part of the equation towards overall health. When she isn’t working, she is walking the Pyrmont hood with her husband, mum, two daughters and her favourite child, Latte the Toy cavoodle or feeding the birds, stray cats and her family and friends, many who are also Pyrmontians. 

Hayley Nguyen

Oral Health therapist and dental hygienist

Bachelor of Oral Health (Therapy and Hygiene – Charles Sturt University)

Hayley is an Oral Health Therapist who graduated from Charles Sturt University (BOHT); she is dual trained in both hygiene and dental therapy.

She has a friendly and warm nature that makes children and adults feel comfortable in the chair.  She believes in providing the best dental care for patients in the most gentle way.

Hayley is passionate about educating patients in the importance of maintaining good oral health.  She believes preventive oral care is the key to a better smile.

When she isn’t working on her spare time she likes to go hiking, enjoys cooking and spending time with her dogs.
